We often receive questions from families about how our shipping process works and whether it’s truly safe for such small, delicate puppies. These concerns are completely understandable, and our goal is always to give you clarity and peace of mind.

Below is an overview of how we ensure your new Teacup or Toy Poodle arrives healthy, secure, and completely cared for every step of the way.

Our Priority: A Calm, Comfortable Journey

Many new owners wonder:

• Will the puppy be scared?
• Is it okay for them to travel alone?
• How long will the journey take?

At HoneyFur Companions, the safety and comfort of our puppies guide every decision we make. We partner exclusively with airlines known for their exceptional pet-handling programs and certified pet courier teams. These professionals specialize in transporting small-breed puppies and ensure they are monitored, handled gently, and kept in climate-controlled areas during the entire trip.

Your puppy travels in a soft-bedded, secure crate with food, water, and a familiar scent item to keep them relaxed. Puppies tend to sleep through most of the journey—far more calmly than many humans do!

Weather Safety & Temperature Control

Whether it’s winter or summer, we follow strict airline temperature guidelines to guarantee safe conditions:

  • Puppies only travel when temperatures along the route fall within safe ranges.

  • The cargo area where they stay is climate-regulated (usually around 70°F / 21°C).

  • In colder seasons, specialized temperature-regulated crates may be used by certain shippers.

If weather conditions are not ideal, we simply adjust the travel date or time to ensure a safe delivery. Your puppy’s well-being always comes first.

How the Shipping Process Works

  1. We confirm your puppy’s travel readiness
    A full vet health check and travel certificate are completed before booking.

  2. You provide your preferred airports
    If possible, we ask for two nearby airports. This helps us secure the most suitable flight window.

  3. We schedule the flight
    Flights can typically be booked up to 3 days in advance to verify airline temperature approvals.

  4. You receive full flight details
    You’ll get the:

    • Airline & flight number

    • Arrival time

    • Pick-up location

    • Air Waybill (AWB) number

  5. Pick-up is simple
    Just bring a government ID and the AWB number. Your puppy will be brought out to you by an airline agent or courier team member.

  6. You contact us once your puppy is home
    We’re always excited to hear how your little one is settling in and to offer guidance for the first 24 hours.

While this process may seem long in writing, in reality it’s smooth, quick, and very organized.

Shipping Costs & Options

Local and international delivery are both available.

  • Domestic shipping: typically $150 – $300, depending on airport and crate size

  • Two puppies together: we can often place littermates in a single large crate

  • International shipping: available worldwide (additional fees may apply)

  • Occasional promotions: free-shipping vouchers through our partnered pet couriers
